Táo bón là một trong những vấn đề phổ biến nhất mà bệnh nhân gặp phải sau phẫu thuật; điều này thường khiến nhiều người bất ngờ. Tại sao phẫu thuật khiến hoạt động ruột bị chậm lại?

Sau khi phẫu thuật, nhiều yếu tố cùng tác động lên hệ tiêu hóa:

  • Các loại thuốc giảm đau mạnh (thuốc opioid) là nguyên nhân chính. Các thuốc như codeine, oxycodone, tramadol, tapentadol và morphine giúp giảm đau hiệu quả, nhưng chúng cũng tác động trực tiếp lên ruột và làm chậm hoạt động của ruột đáng kể. Đây là nguyên nhân quan trọng nhất. Khác với tình trạng buồn ngủ hay buồn nôn do thuốc gây ra (thường hết sau vài ngày), hệ tiêu hóa không thể thích nghi với tác dụng của opioid.   • Bạn ít vận động hơn. Việc đi bộ và vận động nói chung giúp kích thích các sóng co cơ tự nhiên giúp đẩy thức ăn qua ruột. Sau phẫu thuật, việc nghỉ ngơi khiến các hoạt động này bị giảm sút.
  • Bạn ăn và uống ít hơn. Chán ăn, lượng chất xơ nạp vào ít đi và việc uống nước không đủ đều khiến phân trở nên cứng hơn và khó đi ra ngoài hơn.
  • Chính thuốc gây mê. Thuốc gây mê toàn thân khiến hoạt động ruột tạm thời chậm lại; có thể mất một đến hai ngày để hệ tiêu hóa hồi phục hoàn toàn.

Khi các yếu tố này kết hợp lại, việc cảm thấy hoạt động ruột chậm hoặc tắc nghẽn trong vài ngày là hiện tượng rất phổ biến. Tình trạng này gây khó chịu, nhưng hầu hết các trường hợp đều không nguy hiểm.

Bước quan trọng nhất: sử dụng thuốc nhuận tràng cùng với các loại thuốc giảm đau mạnh

Giữ cho hệ tiêu hóa hoạt động — những điều cơ bản hàng ngày

Bên cạnh việc dùng thuốc nhuận tràng, một vài thói quen đơn giản cũng mang lại hiệu quả rõ rệt:

  • Uống nhiều nước. Việc uống nước đều đặn suốt ngày giúp phân mềm ra và hỗ trợ tác dụng của thuốc nhuận tràng. Điều này càng quan trọng hơn nếu bạn đang dùng thuốc giảm đau.
  • Ăn nhiều chất xơ khi cảm thấy thèm ăn trở lại. Trái cây, rau củ, bánh mì và ngũ cốc nguyên hạt, các loại đậu, và đặc biệt là mận khô hoặc nước ép mận đều có ích. Một ly đồ uống ấm vào buổi sáng cũng giúp kích thích nhu động ruột.

Những gì là bình thường và khi nào nên kiên nhẫn chờ đợi

Sau phẫu thuật, việc không đi ngoài trong vài ngày là hiện tượng bình thường, đặc biệt nếu bạn đã được gây mê và dùng các loại thuốc giảm đau mạnh. Cảm giác bụng đầy hơi, chậm tiêu hóa sẽ dần thuyên giảm khi bạn vận động nhiều hơn, uống nhiều nước hơn, giảm liều opioid và để các thuốc nhuận tràng phát huy tác dụng. Đây là điều hoàn toàn bình thường và không có gì đáng lo ngại. Hầu hết mọi người sẽ trở lại thói quen đi ngoài như bình thường trong vòng khoảng một tuần.

Khi nào cần tìm sự trợ giúp – đừng chần chừ

c. You must comply with the conditions in Section 3(a) if You Share all or a substantial portion of the contents of the database.

For the avoidance of doubt, this Section 4 supplements and does not replace Your obligations under this Public License where the Licensed Rights include other Copyright and Similar Rights.
