Sau mọi ca phẫu thuật ở tay hoặc cánh tay, chi sẽ bị sưng. Điều này là bình thường; hầu hết mọi người đều gặp phải tình trạng này và nó không phải là dấu hiệu cho thấy có điều gì không ổn. Tuy nhiên, tình trạng sưng cũng là nguyên nhân chính khiến những ngày đầu hậu phẫu trở nên khó chịu và cứng khớp. Tại sao tay hoặc cánh tay của bạn bị sưng

Có hai nguyên nhân gây ra hiện tượng này, và cả hai đều là điều bình thường.

Thứ nhất là quá trình tự chữa lành. Phẫu thuật về bản chất là một dạng chấn thương có kiểm soát; cơ thể bạn phản ứng giống như khi bị chấn thương thông thường, đó là việc tăng cường lưu lượng máu và dịch đến vùng bị tổn thương để bắt đầu quá trình sửa chữa. Đây chính là phản ứng viêm, và tình trạng sưng phồng, nóng ran cùng cảm giác căng cứng đi kèm là những dấu hiệu rõ ràng cho thấy quá trình hồi phục đang diễn ra.

Thứ hai là lực hấp dẫn. Tay và cánh tay nằm ở cuối chi dài; dịch trong cơ thể tự nhiên sẽ chảy xuống thấp. Khi cánh tay buông thõng bên hông hoặc đặt trên đùi, dịch sẽ tích tụ ở tay và các ngón tay, khiến chúng khó thoát ra ngoài. Đó là lý do vì sao một bàn tay vốn bình thường vào buổi sáng có thể sưng phồng như quả bóng vào buổi tối nếu cả ngày nó vẫn ở tư thế buông thõng.

Những gì là bình thường và thời gian kéo dài

Một chút sưng phù là hiện tượng thường gặp trong mọi quá trình hồi phục. Thông thường, tình trạng sưng sẽ tăng dần trong vài ngày đầu, đạt đỉnh vào khoảng ngày thứ hai đến ngày thứ năm, rồi dần giảm đi trong những tuần tiếp theo khi dịch hồi phục được hấp thụ và chi được vận động trở lại.

Một vài điều cần lưu ý:

  • Việc bàn tay trông và cảm giác tệ hơn vào cuối ngày so với buổi sáng là hiện tượng bình thường (do tác động của trọng lực); tình trạng này sẽ giảm dần qua đêm khi cánh tay được giữ ở vị trí ngang bằng.
  • Các triệu chứng sưng nhẹ và cứng khớp có thể kéo dài nhiều tháng, ngay cả sau khi tình trạng sưng rõ rệt ban đầu đã biến mất. Việc ngón tay hơi phù to, cứng hoặc cảm giác bàn tay dày lên là hiện tượng phổ biến trong một thời gian dài và không phải là dấu hiệu bất ổn. Tình trạng này sẽ dần cải thiện nhờ vận động và các bài trị liệu dành cho tay.
  • Yếu tố quan trọng nhất ảnh hưởng đến tốc độ giảm sưng là việc bạn có giữ chi ở tư thế cao hơn mức tim và vận động nhẹ nhàng trong những ngày đầu hồi phục hay không.

Nâng cao chi — điều quan trọng nhất bạn cần làm

Nếu chỉ được nhớ một điều từ trang này, hãy nhớ rằng: hãy giữ chi ở vị trí cao hơn mức tim. Việc nâng cao chi là phương pháp hiệu quả nhất để kiểm soát tình trạng sưng phù, và hoàn toàn không tốn kém gì.

Mục đích là để trọng lực hỗ trợ thay vì gây cản trở; nhờ đó dịch lỏng sẽ được dẫn trở lại cơ thể thay vì tích tụ ở bàn tay.

  • Khi ngồi hoặc nằm, hãy kê cả cánh tay lên gối sao cho bàn tay cao hơn khuỷu tay, và khuỷu tay cao hơn tim. Đừng chỉ gác khuỷu tay xuống rồi để bàn tay thõng xuống; chính bàn tay và các ngón tay mới là những bộ phận cần được nâng cao nhất.
  • Trong vài ngày đầu, đặc biệt là hai đến ba ngày đầu, hãy cố gắng giữ chi ở tư thế nâng cao càng nhiều càng tốt. Sau đó, việc nâng cao chi khoảng 20 phút mỗi vài giờ trong ngày cũng đủ để giúp lưu thông dịch lỏng.
  • Một quy tắc hữu ích: khi việc để bàn tay thõng xuống không còn gây cảm giác đau nhức nữa, bạn có thể giảm tần suất nâng cao chi.
  • Vào ban đêm, hãy sắp xếp gối trước khi đi ngủ để cánh tay luôn được nâng đỡ; việc để bàn tay nằm phẳng suốt đêm là điều không nên làm.

Hãy vận động các ngón tay — cơ chế “bơm” cơ học

Việc vận động nhẹ nhàng là yếu tố bổ trợ cho việc nâng cao chi lên cao. Mỗi khi bạn cử động ngón tay, các cơ sẽ co lại, ép vào các mạch máu và mạch bạch huyết, từ đó đẩy dịch trở lại lên cánh tay; cơ chế này tương tự như việc vắt nước ra khỏi miếng bọt biển.

  • Trừ khi chúng tôi yêu cầu cụ thể là giữ một ngón tay yên, hãy khép nhẹ nắm tay rồi từ từ duỗi thẳng các ngón tay ra; lặp lại động tác này nhiều lần mỗi giờ khi bạn còn thức.

  • Các khớp vẫn còn khả năng vận động cũng cần được vận động. Nếu cổ tay bạn đang được băng bó, hãy vẫn thực hiện các động tác xoay tròn và gập nhẹ ở vai và khuỷu tay để tránh tình trạng cứng khớp trong quá trình tay hồi phục.
  • Chỉ vận động trong mức độ thoải mái. Việc kéo giãn nhẹ nhàng là chấp nhận được; nếu cảm thấy đau dữ dội thì hãy dừng lại ngay. Luôn tuân thủ các bài tập cụ thể mà bác sĩ phẫu thuật hoặc chuyên viên trị liệu tay đã hướng dẫn cho bạn.

Gói đá lạnh và băng ép nhẹ

Việc dùng gói đá lạnh có thể giúp giảm sưng và đau trong những ngày đầu. Hãy bọc gói đá vào một chiếc khăn mỏng; tuyệt đối không đặt trực tiếp đá lên da, và không đặt lên vùng da đã bị tê hoặc giảm cảm giác. Hãy giữ cho băng gạc và nẹp bó khô ráo. Việc dùng vòng băng ép vừa vặn cũng có thể hữu ích; tuy nhiên chỉ nên sử dụng băng ép khi chúng tôi đã hướng dẫn cụ thể. Việc dùng loại băng không phù hợp hoặc băng quá chặt có thể gây hại nhiều hơn là lợi, vì sẽ làm chèn ép vùng chi đang bị sưng.

Dùng đai treo tay, tránh để tay thõng xuống

Khi bạn đứng dậy và đi lại, cánh tay sẽ tự nhiên thõng xuống bên hông, khiến máu và dịch tích tụ trở lại ở tay. Chiếc đai treo tay giúp nâng đỡ và giữ tay ở vị trí cao hơn so với cơ thể trong lúc bạn di chuyển, nhờ đó những tiến triển đã đạt được khi nghỉ ngơi với tay được nâng cao sẽ không bị mất đi. Hãy dùng đai treo tay để hỗ trợ khi đi lại; tuy nhiên, hãy tháo đai ra để thực hiện các động tác nhẹ nhàng cho ngón tay và khuỷu tay. Đừng để tay thõng xuống trong thời gian dài.

Khi nào cần tìm sự trợ giúp – đừng chần chừ

Hầu hết các trường hợp sưng phù chỉ là một phần của quá trình hồi phục và sẽ giảm dần khi nâng cao chi lên. Tuy nhiên, đôi khi sưng phù lại là dấu hiệu của vấn đề nghiêm trọng; vì vậy cần chú ý đến một vài dấu hiệu cảnh báo. b. if You include all or a substantial portion of the database contents in a database in which You have Sui Generis Database Rights, then the database in which You have Sui Generis Database Rights (but not its individual contents) is Adapted Material; and

c. You must comply with the conditions in Section 3(a) if You Share all or a substantial portion of the contents of the database.

For the avoidance of doubt, this Section 4 supplements and does not replace Your obligations under this Public License where the Licensed Rights include other Copyright and Similar Rights.

a.
